PBS Network (US)

Our recent Drone shoot for PBS America who were looking for some location and action video for a Period Docu-Drama following the ‘Declaration of Independence’ and how it came to be.

We ended up filming in North Yorkshire at 2 historic sites, Bolton Castle and Kiplin Hall in North Yorkshire and one of the more interesting filming we did with our DJI Inspire 2 was  a team of horses and coach arriving at Kiplin Hall.

Hilton Hotels Iceland

We were tasked with a very complex and logistically challenging drone shoot for Hilton Hotels in Iceland. Our client Ether Awe requested us to film some branded content for internal communications at 2 hotels in Reykjavik, Iceland and both locations were inside a airport control zone. In fact we would be operating a drone at the end of Reykjavik Airport runway, no pressure.

Working with Icelands Transport Authority (ITA) and Reykjavik ATC we planned a safe and secure drone flight mission and area around each Hotel safeguarding any potential areas for collision and then produced mitigating solutions for our Risk Assessments. In short we reduced the potential for a serious accident happening.

Reveal-Hull Mutiny Project

The Mutiny Project in Kingston Upon Hull is a musical journey and showcase to the music cultural scene in Hulls history. We were asked by the director to capture drone footage and FPV footage of 2 actors walking between points of interest for a mobile app and augmented reality production.

We used both the DJI Mavic 3 and Avata FPV to capture this journey around several points of interest in the city.

Yorkshire by the Sea - Truenorth

I was on location for my Television client Truenorth Productions. I was asked to deliver drone film of a boat leaving Bridlington Harbour and arriving in Whitby several hours later so punctuality and preparation was needed to capture film for this upcoming series.

A small boat sails through the calm, clear blue waters towards a coastal town in the distance. The town features numerous buildings and a few ships docked by the shore. Rolling hills and a partly cloudy sky serve as the scenic background.

Beautiful calm and clear weather is any drone pilots wish and I got that on the day but with that came a caveat dodging a lot of seagulls. They tend to see a drone as a threat and are territorial in nature so my flight planning risk assessment included mitigating circumstances which would mean me staying away from any bird nearby and utilising a spotter.

I did get the footage both at Brid and Whitby with stunning weather adding to both locations.

Burton Constable Hall & Grounds Drone Film

Aerial film of grounds and hall at Burton Constable Hall in East Riding of Yorkshire. Burton Constable Hall is a large Elizabethan country house with 18th- and 19th-century interiors, and a fine 18th-century cabinet of curiosities. The hall, a Grade I listed building, is set in a park designed by Capability Brown with an area of 300 acres.

The Boat

Aerial film in Yorkshire of the shoreline of a small village in Paull, East Yorkshire. Several abandoned boat hulls static in the silt bay of the Humber Estuary tell their own story of an era since gone by.

The Hull Marathon Teaser

Our client, ‘Paul For Brain recovery’ asked us to film them at the Hull Marathon. We produced this aerial film as a way to draw interest to what was coming. Our drone pilot filmed shots of the bridge start line helped establish the location of the Marathon and the iconic Humber Bridge, which can only really be appreciated from this perspective.

The Shere Hill Climb

We approached the organisers of the annual Shere Hill Climb to produce drone photography and video around their event. This popular automotive event has become a regular on automotive calendars each year and unlike other car events, this appeals to all family members. The client really appreciated our Aerial Cinematography.
